Green Bay Packers Draft Picks 2020

Green Bay Packers Make Nine Picks in 2020 NFL Draft

First-Round Surprise, Two Day 2 Additions, and Six on Day 3

April 26, 2020, 2:22 PM ET

The Green Bay Packers have made nine selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, including one in the first round, two on Day 2, and six on Day 3.

The Packers traded up to select quarterback Aaron Rodgers' heir apparent in Jordan Love with the 26th overall pick in Round 1. A surprise pick to many, Love is a talented young player who will likely sit behind Rodgers for a few years before taking over the reins.

On Day 2, the Packers added running back AJ Dillon in the second round and tight end Josiah Deguara in the third round. Dillon is a powerful back who should complement Aaron Jones well, while Deguara is a versatile pass-catcher who can also block.

On Day 3, the Packers selected six players: wide receiver Amari Rodgers (Day 3, Pick 14) and running back Kylin Hill (Day 3, Pick 259) in the fourth round; offensive tackle Jon Runyan Jr (Day 3, Pick 162) and linebacker Kamal Martin (Day 3, Pick 194) in the fifth round; and defensive end Tipa Galeai (Day 3, Pick 246) and safety Vernon Scott (Day 3, Pick 253) in the sixth round.

The Packers' draft class is a mix of talented players who could contribute immediately and players who may take some time to develop. Overall, the Packers did a good job of addressing their needs and adding depth to their roster.
