Kristi Lynn Noem (pronounced noʊ m) was born on November 30, 1971. She is an American politician who has served as the 33rd Governor of South Dakota since 2019. Before becoming governor, Noem served in the South Dakota Legislature for several years and was elected to represent South Dakota as the state's lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010.
