Mavericks Rout Celtics To Force Game 5

Mavericks Rout Celtics to Force Game 5

38-Point Margin Marks Historic NBA Finals Performance

The Dallas Mavericks stunned the Boston Celtics with a decisive 122-84 victory in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The 38-point final margin was the third-biggest ever in an NBA Finals game, behind only Chicago's 96-54 win over Utah in 1998 and the Celtics' victory over the Lakers in 2008.

Doncic Leads the Charge

Luka Doncic set the tone for the Mavericks, scoring 25 points in the first half and finishing with a game-high 33 points. This was his most efficient performance in the series and finally got some help from his teammates. Spencer Dinwiddie added 24 points, while Dorian Finney-Smith scored 18 points.

Celtics Struggle on Both Ends

The Celtics had no answer for the Mavericks' offense, shooting just 36.9% from the field and turning the ball over 15 times. Jayson Tatum led the team with 21 points, but he was inefficient, making only 7 of 21 shots. Jaylen Brown added 18 points, but he was also inefficient, making only 6 of 16 shots.

Hope for Mavericks, Hardship for Celtics

The victory keeps the Mavericks' hopes alive in the series. No team has ever come back to win an NBA playoff series after losing the first three games, but the Mavericks have shown resilience in this game. The Celtics, on the other hand, will need to regroup quickly if they hope to close out the series in Game 5.
