Carolina Hurricanes Line Combinations and NHL Updates
New Line Combinations for the Canes
The Carolina Hurricanes are set to make some minor adjustments to their lineup for Game 4 of their Second Round series against the New York Rangers. According to head coach Rod Brind'Amour, Andrei Svechnikov will move up to the top line alongside Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen. Martin Necas will drop down to the second line with Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Seth Jarvis. The third line will remain the same with Jordan Staal, Paul Stastny, and Nino Niederreiter.
Freddie Andersen to Start in Net
After missing the first three games of the series with an upper-body injury, Frederik Andersen is expected to make his return to the crease for the Hurricanes in Game 4. Andersen has been one of the best goaltenders in the NHL this season, posting a 35-14-4 record with a 2.17 GAA and a .922 save percentage. His return will be a major boost to the Hurricanes, who have struggled to score goals in the playoffs.
Canes Look to Tie Series
The Hurricanes trail the Rangers 2-1 in the series after dropping the first two games at home. They managed to steal a win in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden, but they will need to win Game 4 to tie the series and regain home-ice advantage. The Hurricanes have been one of the best teams in the NHL all season, and they will be confident that they can come back and win this series.
